An up-cycled glass bottle.

This has been lovingly created using real foliage embedded into the wax, before removing and then enhanced with oil paints. The natural foliage adds such wonderful texture to this bottle which you can feel straight away once held. I have added a lovely piece of hessian around the top of the vase, adding yet more texture.

The whole process requires adding wax paint, heat and more layers of wax, adding the real foliage, burnishing, lifting out, mark making, heat and oil paints. A lovely tactile vase as well as the look.

To clarify the measurements, this bottle is 4 inches at it's widest, 4 inches tall and the opening to add flowers is 2.5 inches wide.
