Most days you will find me walking in the Forest Of Dean with my little man Teddy, my cavachon buddy, who is now 4 years old. I am very lucky to live where I do and be surrounded by nature throughout all seasons.
I have a habit of collecting leaves, which I dry and store. I thought it would be creative to use some into my paintings and add paints to them. Here I painted a few woodland trees in watercolour and metallic acrylics. The tea bag staining behind the trees also made this the ideal canvas for this subject matter. The lovely green and brown tones complimenting each other all the way through this painting. This would make a perfect gift for someone who has visited our area or someone who loves their woodland trees.
A sneek at the painting after it was finished.
I wanted to captivate the scene so I included the original tea bag label as if it was leeping out from the top of the tree. It is backed onto lokta paper and some beautiful hand made papers with real leaves - the perfect finish for this painting. I hope you like the concept.
